Heyo– time to catch on my blog in a super lightening round of *doom*. Huzzah!
This post is about Wednesday.
Oh, and first off, thanks for ALL the really sweet birthday wishes! Being seventeen is honestly so different from being sixteen; I’ve never felt that way about a birthday before.

So let’s go! Wednesday I had my major (no comment) then my minor. Bioethics was brilliant because we got to get into the city rather than staying in the Union; although, the library where we have class is gorgeous and full of leather-bound old debating records. Anyway, so I went to the History of Science museum which is the oldest museum that was built for the purpose of being a museum in the world (that’s right– the world– although this is Britain so they might have made that up).  It should be renamed the History of Scientific Instruments museum; it wasn’t totally fascinating because there were no conceptual exhibits. It’s beautiful, all the same, and there’s a blackboard with Einstein’s calculations on it, and I UNDERSTOOD the first line because it was a derivative. ^_^  I don’t think that telling you how many lines total are on this blackboard or how complicated the rest of the lines are would be particularly constructive to the WOWZORES-LAURA factor, so I won’t.

Wednesday night I went to a modern interp of Romeo & Juliet which was a bit bizarre yet got much better as it went along. The actors were great but the choreography was not so great– the choreographer must have thought a lot of themselves because there was some serious apple throwing and red-drape tugging that made very little sense. But Macuchio was brilliant, as was Romeo– and Juliet! Gah! I don’t understand Romeo and Juliet in all honesty, especially when I see it acted out. Romeo is in love with Rosaline until BAM! he sees a THIRTEEN year old girl and thinks– I have finally found my true love! I mean… really? But Shakespeare was a genius; seeing it in the Victorian era and not knowing the ending must have been amazing.

I have to go to staircase functions now but I will actually finish blogging tonight and catch you up through today & give you the details about how I’m spending my seventeenth! Cheers-
x
